West Virginia Lottery: West Virginia Cash 25, Hot Lotto and Powerball

Since its start in 1986, the West Virginia Lottery has provided more than one billion dollars to help improve the lives of all West Virginians.

This figure includes profits transferred to the state's general fund from 1986-1989, as well as video lottery profits. Since 1989, Lottery proceeds have been dedicated by the West Virginia Legislature to specific beneficiary programs.

For West Virginia Cash 25, select 6 balls from 25. There are 4 prize levels:

2. 4 balls
3. 3 balls
4. 2 balls

For multi-state Hot Lotto, select 5 numbers from 39 and another number (the Hot Ball) from a separate pool of 19. All 6 numbers are required to win first prize. There are 9 levels of prizes:

1. 5 main balls + hot ball
2. 5 main balls
3. 4 main balls + hot ball
4. 4 main balls
5. 3 main balls + hot ball
