NetLotto Version 2.4

Sorry, folks, but I decided that the first cut of Version 2.4 just wasn't getting the results that I wanted for 3 ball lotteries. So it was back to the drawing board for more research, inspiration and perspiration! Whatever, it paid off and we are now getting fabulous results. It should all be finalized, packaged up and distributed in the next few days. Some new games will also be included.

The price is going up to $39.95, but the new version will be distributed free to all current users.

The new wheeling systems foreshadowed in the last Newsletter are also now under development.

Powerball and Mega Millions Jackpots

Mega Millions is building up again with tomorrow's jackpot an estimated $53 million. But it's totally eclipsed by Powerball at the moment, with next Saturday heading for a whopping $205 million! Players all over the country are rushing to get a piece of the action.

NetLotto remains the only system ever to have selected a Mega Millions winning ticket! Check out how at

Some Funny Numbers

There have been some unusual number combinations drawn in the last few days.

For example, in Florida Fantasy 5 on October 1, the first four numbers were 1, 3, 5 and 7 and then two days later, they were 4, 5, 6 and 7! Ten days earlier, we had 9, 11, 13 and 15. In the Colorado Lotto for September 20, the last four numbers were 33, 35, 37 and 39. Interesting coincidence, or indications of patterns at work that we are yet to discover? In Oregon, three successive Megabucks draws had the numbers 13 and 31 and the previous two each contained 3 and 4. It's very unusual for two numbers to be repeated in successive draws.

Governments Don't Like Competition

At the height of his career operating an illegal lottery called "the numbers," Otis Ray was running four-digit bar tabs in his $70,000 Titans stadium suite and rubbing elbows with Nashville's elite.

Now, just months out of prison, Ray, 53, is working as night watchman at a local Comfort Inn and rebuilding his life on $6-an-hour wages.

Ray spent nearly 25 years working the underground lottery. Just one month after he was sent to federal prison in December 2003, the Tennessee Lottery sold its first ticket.

The legal version of his old enterprise has players anticipating a Powerball jackpot drawing next Saturday night estimated at $205 million.

A Bit of (Aussie) History

Modern lotteries began in Australia. The state of Queensland introduced the Queensland State Lottery of Australia in 1917 and was the first lottery to start operations in the 20th century.

In 1930, the newly elected state government of New South Wales, led by Premier Jack Lang, decided the only course of action to solve the critical funding situation in the state’s hospitals was to start a State Lottery. This was during the Great Depression. Money was scarce and unemployment stood at 30%. There had been a major influenza epidemic 10 years previously and it was feared that the hospitals would not be able to cope with another.

As had happened in the U.S., the announcement created a political storm. The opposing political parties joined forces with the churches to condemn the decision. It was said that “Lotteries are evil and degrading” and that “It is going to demoralize the youth of our State.”

On the 22nd of June, 1931, the Lotteries Act was proclaimed, with a former Commissioner of Taxation appointed the first Director of State Lotteries. In August, the pavements were filled as people queued for more than three blocks outside the State Lottery Office to enter the first lottery.

Tip of the Week

A simple tip this week. When you get your lottery tickets, ALWAYS sign them on the back and write your name and phone number. Otherwise, losing a winning lottery ticket is just like losing money. It's finders keepers and the lottery organization WILL give the prize money to the person holding the winning ticket. If the ticket is signed and contains your name and phone number, they'll contact you for confirmation.

A simple precaution, but one that could be the difference between a life changing and a devastating experience.

While NetLotto can't protect you from losing a ticket, it can help the ticket to be a winner. It may be the best $29.95 you've ever spent! You can order through ClickBank at http://www.netlotto.org/buy_now_clickbank.htm or PayPal at http://www.netlotto.org/buy_now_paypal.htm.
