New York Lottery: New York Lotto and Mega Millions

Since 1967, the New York Lottery has earned $25 billion to support education statewide, including $1.9 billion in fiscal year 2003-2004. The amount of funds disbursed by the education department, under the state budget process, is based upon the estimated Lottery earnings at the time of budget passage. In the event Lottery earnings exceed budget estimates, those additional funds become part of the next year's Lottery aid distribution.

You select 6 numbers from 59. 7 numbers are drawn, comprising 6 main numbers and 1 Bonus Ball. All 6 numbers are required to win first prize and combinations of some main numbers plus the bonus ball are required to win a minor prize. There are 5 levels of prizes.
