Maine Lottery: Tri-State Megabucks and Powerball

$41,752,637 was transferred to the General Fund in Fiscal Year 2004. There are over 250 programs supported by the General Fund.

By law, a minimum of 45% of Lottery sales must be dedicated to prizes. In Fiscal Year 2004, 61% of total Lottery sales were paid out as prizes. Players received $116,826,954 in prizes.

For Megabucks, you select 6 numbers from 42 and another number (the Bonus Number) from the remaining 36. All six numbers are required to win first prize. There are 8 levels of prizes.
