Idaho Lottery: Powerball

Since the Idaho Lottery was established in 1989, it has returned $250 million back to both the K-12 public schools and the colleges and universities of Idaho.

At the end of fiscal year 2003, the Idaho Lottery provided $10.25 million in dividend and related interest earnings to Idaho’s 113 school districts.

The money was used in many different ways, from building new roofs and bleachers to purchasing new computers and school buses.

The Idaho Lottery also provided $10.25 million to the Permanent Building Fund. This helps fund college and university expansion projects and the construction of new buildings.

For multi-state Powerball, select 5 numbers from 53 and another number (the Powerball) from a separate pool of 42. All 6 numbers are required to win first prize. There are 9 levels of prizes:

1. 5 main balls + powerball
2. 5 main balls
3. 4 main balls + powerball
4. 4 main balls
5. 3 main balls + powerball
6. 3 main balls
7. 2 main balls + powerball
8. 1 main ball + powerball
9. power ball only
