Bright Futures Scholarships
Florida Bright Futures Scholarships are fully funded by the Florida Lottery. There are three levels of scholarships for high school seniors who have taken specific courses, maintained a high Grade Point Average (GPA), and achieved required scores on college admissions tests. The scholarship may be used for either full-time or part-time enrollment and is renewable. Students may use the Prepaid College Plan along with their Bright Futures Scholarship award.

K through 12 Public Schools
Lottery funds are provided as enhancement funds for school districts, as determined by the Legislature, based on the Florida Education Finance Program allocation. Prior to the receipt of Lottery funds, districts must establish policies and procedures describing the types of expenses that will be considered consistent with that definition. A portion of these funds are used for implementing the school improvement plan. This plan shall include performance indicators which are measurable. Funding for use by the school advisory councils shall be allocated directly to the councils and shall be earmarked for the councils' use. Council funds are not subject to override by the principal or interim approvals by school district staff. Council funds must be accounted for and are subject to being audited on a yearly basis.

Student Financial Assistance
An appropriated amount of Lottery dollars provide funding for other State Student Financial Aid. These funds are deposited in the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund which is totally administered by the Florida Department of Education.

Classrooms First
The Classrooms First Program provides lottery funds to school districts for new construction, renovation, remodeling, major repair, or maintenance of education facilities. Over the 20-year period of the 1997 School Capital Outlay Bond program, an estimated $2 billion in revenue will be available for public school construction. The annual $180 million appropriation is used to pay the annual debt service on the Lottery bonds. As of December 2002, lottery-based funds have been encumbered by school districts to build 100 new schools with approximately 94,000 new student stations. Additionally, approximately 69,000 new student stations have been provided through renovation or remodeling projects and the construction of additions to existing schools.

Community College System
The twenty-eight community colleges throughout the state receive a portion of Lottery dollars. The respective Community Colleges are responsible for reflecting how these funds were spent. Separate from the above are Information Technology Enhancement Grants.

State University System
Florida public universities also receive Lottery funds. Specific amounts for university enhancements may be transferred to one or more appropriation categories for expenditure. They are: Education and General Activities, Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences, University of South Florida Medical Center, University of Florida Health Center, Florida State University Medical School, I-4 Corridor/High Technology Research or Challenge Grants.

For Florida Fantasy 5, select 5 numbers from 36. All 5 numbers are required to win first prize. There are 4 levels of prizes:
